Foundation History

The Brumley Foundation was chartered in 1985 by Dixie Lee Brumley Holland (the widow of Harry Holland ), Vivian Brumley Warren (Mrs. Frank Warren), and Frank Warren, to be the principal beneficiary of their estates upon their deaths. The Foundation was named in honor of R.O.C. Brumley and Fannie Brumley, the parents of Mrs. Holland and Mrs. Warren. While the family made their homes in Amarillo, Texas, they owned and managed ranching and oil and gas interests in Moore County, Texas. Neither Mrs. Holland nor Mrs. Warren was survived by children.

The Foundation received its first major bequest upon the death of Dixie Lee Brumley Holland in 1990. Vivian Brumley Warren had died in 1988, and over the years Frank Warren made numerous gifts to the Foundation in her memory. Mr. Warren died in 1998, naming the Foundation the primary beneficiary of his and his deceased wife's estate.

In 2007 the Foundation sold its surface ranch lands in Moore County.
